Next to the Campsite

For us the storm began at 6am on Wednesday, July 23 with a terrific gust of wind. A branch came down on the roof, and the lights went out. And stayed out for 6 hours.

However, it wasn't until 3pm that the serious rain began. From that point on all it took was two hours to bring chaos back to our community for the third time in 4 years.

Berry Brook Road

The following pictures were taken on Friday, July 25 on Berry Brook Road near the airport.   Road crews had already been on the job for more than 24 hours.  The road had been washed out in two places.

Back at the Campsite

In spite of four days of sun following the storm, on Sunday, July 27, the Beaverkill was still at flood level, and muddy.
